busuu is the worlds largest social network for language learning and is based in London. The company specialises in the interaction between the users and encourages them to exchange knowledge.
Apart from the social component a comprehensive individual language course helps the user to learn and practise the chosen languages on common, conversational, travel, and business levels.
My main tasks were the restructuring of several areas on both the mobile and the web app as well as finding ways to increase session time, overall time spent on busuu and finally helping busuu to keep a larger percentage of the huge number of newly registered users active.
zoomsquare is an Viennese technology startup with a mission to make real estate search easier and more pleasant for its users.
Additionally to the desktop product we developed a smartphone app that pushes this goal even further by giving people the possibility to search for their new homes everywhere and on the go.
The usability borrows its simplicity from dating apps like Tinder, secondary information is moved out of sight and interaction is focused on small, simple, guided tasks.
Some of the 3D animations I did for a few projects. They all involved conception, modeling, texturing, animation, rendering and postproduction.
Veloo is an add-on package for balance bikes, which enables parents to communicate with their kid from a distance and providing the parents the opportunity to slow them down remotely, aiming a better kid-parent interaction during a safer balance bike experience.
The package includes a roll-brake, custom grips and a wearable for the parents. Giving the kid also the possibility to say no to their parents while communicating through the custom grips, it differs from today’s inhumane ‘kid-leash’ products.

The interior was modeled after architectural plans. The focus was on a clean lines and luxurious appearance. Colored lighting is defining the atmosphere and sets the the mood within the cave-like room.
The white walls are popping from the dark background to display their information.
Visualisation for a paddock lounge with a view on the race tracks. The interior was modeled and textures after architectural plans. Simple and unobstrusive the interior is focused on the action on the race track and the race car.
Visualisation for a trade fair and advertising for the stalls. A long red carpet composed of a lot of small carpets stretches throughout the whole area and acts as a golden thread.
Architectural Visualisation of a Lounge Area in Abu Dhabi. The complete interior was modeled after architectural plans. Important was a sleek, modern but inviting look & feel. The red sofas add a bold contrast to the otherwise very reduced architecture.
Shedpack is a tool for people troubled by natural disasters, specially flood catastrophies.
When people are hit by floods, the main problems emerge in the first 3 days. Mostly, catastrophies happen in countries that are not perfectly connected to catastrophy warning systems. Therefore immediate response teams can take up to 3 days to arrive.
Shedpack challenges this problem by providing an easily available, cheap to produce, logistics-optimized first response system. It doubles as a backpack for personal belongings and as an emergency micro shelter.
Due to its easy fabrication, it can be pre-fabricated in dangered countries by unskilled people in a short time. It can then be stored with minimum space requirements and distributed as soon as response teams are ready.
This innovative mobile dialysis system is intended for patients who simply do not have the time to spend several hours three times a week in sessions at the dialysis centre. With this system the patient is free to decide when and where the life-saving blood cleansing is to be carried out. The device consists of a flexible belt, which is divided into membrane compartments and filled with dialysis fluid and a hard shell front, in which the technology, a catheter connection and an infrared cleansing unit are integrated. It is controlled by a smartphone application with comprehensive and intuitive possibilities. The necessary functions are also located as hard buttons on the device itself. After each peritoneal dialysis cycle the dialysis fluid is cleansed in the technical section in readiness for the next cycle.

RAILSHOCK is an extreme-sports vehicle that uses the urban tramrails and its overhead wiring for locomotion. Based on an underground movement of adrenaline junkies it allows them to compete in illegal street races. While riding on a skateboard or a similar self-made device, the pilot is beeing pulled by RAILSHOCK - similar to a wakeboarder or waterskiier.
RAILSHOCK is empowered by a pantograph attached to the top of a pole. This power collector conducts the 600V DC of the overhead wiring to a switch power supply that regulates the current to the 48V DC needed for its wheel hub motor. A motor control unit allows the rider to adjust the speed.
To stay in track RAILSHOCK is beeing hold in the rails by guiding wheels mounted on four side arms. The big drive wheel is located between the rails for best grip and acceleration.
